Aftermath

We are still waiting to be evacuated at any moment. Last week we were told to pack and get all important documents ready for evac. It is monday, and there has been 1 plane boarded. I think we all know how fortunate we are that Atsugi is much more fortunate than other areas of Japan. We are just frustrated at this point with our nerves and stress levels being tossed around like a sheet of paper.

It seems another base has already been evacuating for the past few days..yet we have barely made headway. Everyone on the outside might think...oh hey..calm down..you'll get taken care of. We know. We know. But we are allowed as a person to feel stressed. It isn't just 1 person. Some of us are taking a big animal..a kid.. and then also someone else's animal(b/c there is no way we would let an animal be left behind in this!). It's a lot. I was calm and ok.. until I see that we only had one plane for today...and this is day 4ish of this.

On another note..its raining. Maybe the radiation will stay away.

Time Flies

Where to start..

I haven't blogged in a while..but lots has happened! I will add some more info when i remember it. Today it is snowing out. Yes... snowing. Yesterday was a nice sunny..getting you excited for spring day.. then bam... SNOW! ugh. Anyway, I walked Keegan to school for his 3hrs of class this morning and I am planning on taking some more pics of baby B. We needed to get some smiles of her. (I'll post some pics soon)

We are approaching our 1yr mark in Japan! I am not quite sure how i feel yet..I like it..but I don't..you know,love-hate. I hate that when I think of family now and scan through fb..i start to feel tears welling up. But, before I make that a sad moment.. We are going home this summer for a bit!! I am beyond excited.. and its still 2 months away!! Hey.. I can do 2 months right? I have never gone this long without seeing my family!! I know Keegan will be so happy too! Only sad part is poor Cobb will have to stay behind; after how Keg has treated him though..he might want a little break.haha.

Well, soon it will be deployment time..but there is still much to do in the time before. We have Cherry Blossom things going on(if its not snowing.haha)..Sally is suppose to be coming out and Badman week is in April!! I think all of that can get me through to the end of may!

I'll be writing more..sorry for the long break.

One more thing before I head off.. We have been having lots of superhero playing before bed..keg and i in a silky japanese robe..with a mask and i with a rose headband.. and ronnie was dubbed "Zurg" by Keegan.. it is actually pretty fun.. We may have a theme for Halloween.. I dunno..just a thought ;)

Japan!!

So..I am a little behind. We are in Japan. It was a long process..in a short couple of weeks for us to get here. All of the first week is kind of blurry...but we got through and we actually are in a house on base waiting for our HHG to arrive in beginning of July. Yes..it takes forever. Keegan,Cobb and I said goodbye to Ronnie last week. This is our first real deployment together(rrrr,apart?). It is going to be tough.Keegan has asked where he is a lot..and then he tells himself work. At least we do get to talk to him on the phone. Keegan even holds the phone and says yes..and no..and tells him about his trains and cobb.It is so sweet.

We are hoping to see a lot to keep us busy while Ronnie is gone.First we have Keegan's birthday soon..and Sally is visiting!! Then we have GUAM!!! Yay! We will meet dad and Kathy out there!They have a much longer flight than we do...but I am not looking forward to getting to the airport.It will all be worth it when i can get on the beach!

The Det 5 girls are wonderful and have made me feel so welcome..and it does help that they are some southern ladies! It is also so nice to already know some friends from before here! I guess I got pretty lucky there.

We have started potty training..so this will be interesting. Loves n Hugs
